AB-2193 – CIVIL REPRESENTATION:  IMMIGRATION STATUS Existing law, the Sargent Shriver Civil Counsel Act, requires legal counsel to be appointed to represent low-income parties in civil matters involving critical issues affecting basic human needs in courts selected by the Judicial Council.

This bill... states that a person will not be "subject to civil or criminal liability or penalty" based on their actions with respect to their pregnancy or actual, potential, or alleged pregnancy outcome including miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion or perinatal death."

AB-2847 – Unemployment:  Excluded Workers Pilot Program Existing law prohibits payment of unemployment compensation benefits for services performed by a person who is not a citizen or national of the United States unless that person is an individual who was lawfully admitted for permanent residence

AB-1631 – Election: Election Officials Current law requires the Secretary of State to adopt uniform standards regarding the training of precinct board members, including languages that may be encountered by a poll worker . . .

AB-1944 – Open and Public Meetings: The Ralph M. Brown Act requires that all meetings of a legislative body of a local agency, as defined, be open and public and that all persons be permitted to attend and participate. 

AB-1638 – Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax Law: Suspension of Tax: Existing law, the Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax Law, imposes a tax upon each gallon of motor vehicle fuel

SB-1100 – Open Meetings:  Orderly Conduct. Existing law, the Ralph M. Brown Act, requires, with specified exceptions, that all meetings of a legislative body of a local agency be open and public

Existing law provides for certain personal rights by statute, including the right to protection from bodily restraint or harm, from personal insult, from defamation, and from injury to personal relations.  Under this bill,

AB-2067 – Forest Resources:  Fire Prevention Grants The Budget Act of 2017 appropriated money to the Dept. of Forestry and Fire Protection for purposes of, among other things, providing local assistance grants,

SB-915 – Gun Control - Would prohibit the sale of firearms and ammunition on all state property.

AB-1078 – Energy building standards: photovoltaic requirements-(solar panels)  Existing law specifies that residential construction intended to repair, restore or replace a residential building damaged or destroyed as a result of a disaster
