Initiative 19-0008 - California Schools and Local Communities Funding Act - aka PROPOSITION 13 SPLIT-ROLL TAX INCREASE

California’s Assembly Bill 5 (AB5) is a new law that significantly redefines what constitutes an “independent contractor.” Legislative Democrats passed the Bill and Governor Newsom signed it into law in 2019.

Governor Newsom's Emergency Response. Governor Newsom has written a letter to President Trump, asking for healthcare aid to California this past week. The Governor projects that over half of California, 25 million people, will be infected with COVID-19 in the next eight week period.

Closed for COVID-19 - The California Legislature announced that it is suspending meeting until April 13th in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus. It is believed that this is the first suspension of its kind in 158 years.

The Primary Election results are in... almost. There are still approximately 1.7 million ballots unprocessed and outstanding in California (at time of print). This could dramatically change some current election results.

Today is Super Tuesday, March 3rd, the California Primary Election, and there is STILL TIME to educate voters! There is even still time to register Republicans!
