Governor Newsom Signs Executive Order on Actions in Response to COVID-05/19/20 – This executive order waives certain requirements for state grants awarded to domestic violence service providers. It waives the deadline to verify factors
for Cal Grant applicants. It suspends some deadlines for entities that receive Energy Commission funding supporting the state’s clean energy and decarbonization goals. Governor Newsom Signs Executive Order on Actions in Response to COVID-19-05/29/20- This executive order extends the authorization for local governments to halt evictions for renters impacted by the pandemic through July 28. It extends DMV waivers permitting mail-in renewals of Driver’s license and ID cards. It waives some restrictions on child care and after school programs for children of essential infrastructure workers. Allows credentialing of some teacher prep students without performance assessment. Allows the Dept. Of Housing and Community Development to waive regulations for administering Emergency Services Grant funds. Governor Newsom Signs Executive Order on Actions in Response to COVID-19-06/05/20- this executive order allows companies not previously licensed by the CA. Dept. of Health to manufacture various PPE items. It defers certain renewal fees for drug, medical devices, food and cosmetics with CA Dept. of Public Health licenses. It specifies waivers for emergency foster youth placement and work caring for older adults and individuals with disabilities. It revises CA Dept. Of Justice employment procedures for critical sectors and
extends certain statutory deadlines for the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.

Governor Newsom Signs Executive Order on Actions in Response to COVID-19-06/15/20 – This executive order temporarily extends waivers broadening counties’ capability to enroll persons in the CalWORKs program. Governor Newsom Signs Executive Order on Actions in Response to COVID-19-06/22/20- The order extends a waiver that allows retailers to temporarily pause in-store redemption of beverage containers to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The order also temporarily suspends the requirement for recycling centers to hold a minimum number of hours of operation.
