Governor Newsom Signs Executive Order on Actions in Response to COVID-19 6.30.20 This executive order authorizes local governments to halt evictions for renters impacted by Covid-19 through 9/30/20. Also, included availability of marriage licenses by video teleconferencing; waived eligibility requirements for participants in Medical, suspended face-to face eligibility for foster care and permits for in-home supportive service programs so case workers could continue caring for older adults and individuals with disabilities through video conferencing. Also extends waivers broadening the capabilities to enroll persons in Calworks, allows for self-attestation of pregnancy conditions and waiving in-person ID. Governor Newsom Signs Executive Order in Response to COVID-19 8.24.20 –
MULTIPLE ISSUES This order was issued to help the Departments of Consumer Affairs and Public Health to issue waivers permitting pharmacist and pharmacy technicians to conduct CLIA and COVID-19 tests. Also, enables certain adoption paperwork to be completed remotely for birth parents suspected to be Covid-19 positive. Increases the income eligibility threshold for the CBD grant program to support economic and community development efforts and waive certain requirements under the law.
