SB 14, as amended, Serious felonies: human trafficking. Existing law defines the terms term “serious felony” and “violent felony” for various purposes, including, among others, enhancing the punishment for felonies pursuant to existing sentencing provisions commonly known as the Three Strikes Law.
SB 437, Presidential elections: candidates. Existing law provides for the statewide election of a slate of electors to vote in the electoral college for the President and Vice President of the United States.
ACA 5, Marriage equality. The California Constitution provides that only a marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California, and federal law permanently enjoins the state from enforcing this constitutional provision.

School Book Ban Controversy. The Temecula Valley Unified School District voted unanimously to adopt California’s new social studies book and curriculum during the July 21st meeting after previously rejecting it twice. The board had objected to the book’s coverage of LGBTQ+ figures in history.

The Adam Schiff “so called” Bail Out. “The Constitution says the House may make its own rules but we can’t violate other (later) provisions of the Constitution. A $16 million fine is a violation of the 27th and 8th amendments.” quoted Thomas Massie, R-KY.
AB 957 has been amended again and only continues to get worse! The requirement to CONSIDER a parent’s affirmation of a child’s gender identity has been amended to INCLUDE a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender.
Existing law requires a defendant out on bail, if a verdict is rendered against them, to be committed to the custody of the county to await judgment of the court upon the verdict.
