This year, 2023, marks the 69th anniversary of our club’s founding after consolidations of neighboring clubs in the heart of the county seat, San Buenaventura. Some proclaim the Channel Islands the American Galapagos. Species found here don’t exist elsewhere. Our club too is priceless.
We generally meet on the 4th Wednesday each month. Our programs include national and local speakers who share about diverse and timely topics. Candidates running for local and state positions will be a priority this year. CIRWF Outreach Committee notifies the members about upcoming events in the communities and how they can volunteer.
Supporting our military – Every December we welcome military spouses to our luncheon as our guests. Our members are very generous bringing new gifts/toys/gift cards for children and teens that the spouses can select for their families. What was not selected is delivered to our contact at Pt. Hueneme Naval Air Station. Our membership has grown and we received the Diamond Achievement Award 2020-2021.
