President Ronald Reagan Scholarship
California Federation of Republican Women
The California Federation of Republican Women is offering a scholarship in honor of President Ronald Reagan.
The annual scholarship of $2,000.00 is being offered to an undergraduate registered Republican woman who is majoring in political science, communication, or directed toward law. The applicant must be a United States citizen who has completed two years of college. The applicant must be a resident of the State of California.
A complete application must include the following:
- Official application form (PDF), all sections completed in full.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- An official copy of your most recent college transcript.
- Optional photograph.
- California Federation of Republican Women Official Certification.
ONLY COMPLETED APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
NOTE: Scholarship Applications must be submitted to the Scholarship Chairman.

NFRW Scholarships
These scholarships are offered under the auspices of the National Federation of Republican Women. They are submitted through the State Federation. Applications from CFRW are first submitted to our Scholarship Chairman BEFORE they get submitted to our State President.
Dorothy Andrews Kabis Internship Program (PDF file)
Deadline: February 20th to the CFRW Scholarship Chairman (not the State President)
The Dorothy Andrews Kabis Memorial Internship Program is named after a former President of the National Federation of Republican Women. Each year, the program offers three young women the opportunity to spend six weeks working in NFRW headquarters. The internship provides housing and round trip airfare. NO monetary allowance is given.
Applicants must be a college junior, or age 21 or over, having completed high school but not yet graduated from college. Applicants should have a general knowledge of government and a keen interest in Republican politics, including campaign experience and clerical office skills adaptable to a busy office.
Scholarship applications are mailed to State Federation Presidents at the beginning of the year. The State Federation Presidents make them available to their Unit Club Presidents. Specific details are included on the scholarship forms. The internships are awarded at the NFRW Spring Board of Directors meeting.
National Pathfinder Scholarship Fund (PDF file)
Deadline: June 1 to the CFRW Scholarship Chairman (not the State President)
The National Federation of Republican Women established the National Pathfinder Scholarship Fund in 1985 in honor of First Lady Nancy Reagan.
The three annual scholarships of $2,500 provide financial assistance and support to young women seeking undergraduate or graduate degrees. Undergraduate sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as students enrolled in a master’s degree program, are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Recent high school graduates and undergraduate freshmen are not eligible. Scholarship winners may not reapply.
Applications for these scholarships are mailed to State Federation Presidents at the beginning of the year. State Federation Presidents make them available to their Unit Club Presidents. Betty Rendel National Scholarship (PDF file)
Deadline: June 1 to the CFRW Scholarship Chairman (not the State President)
The Betty Rendel National Scholarship was established in September 1995 in honor of NFRW Past President Betty Rendel’s extraordinary leadership skills and dedication to the Republican Party. The annual scholarship of $1,000 is designated for an undergraduate woman who is currently majoring in Political Science, Government or Economics. Applicants must have completed their freshman year of college to be eligible to apply.
The scholarship forms are mailed to the State Federation Presidents at the beginning of the year. State Federation Presidents make the scholarship forms available to the Unit Club Presidents. Specific details are included on the scholarship forms. The scholarship is awarded at the NFRW Biennial Convention or Fall Board Meeting.
